Procedure

Our office utilizes the Zoom! chairside whitening procedure as seen on the television show Extreme Makeover. The procedure for Zoom! whitening is quick and painless. The first step is to isolate the teeth and protect the gums and lips. When this has been accomplished, the whitening gel is placed on the teeth. The gel is activated by a specially designed light that is directed at the teeth. The entire procedure takes just over an hour. Although results vary, teeth can become 6 to 10 shades whiter in one appointment!

After the Zoom bleaching appointment, it is advised to refrain from eating or drinking any dark staining foods or beverages for at least 48 hours. For example, we advise that you do not drink Coke or red wine.

To maintain your teeth looking their best, we also recommend that bleaching trays be worn occasionally. This will help to keep your teeth looking white and bright!
